Make sure you can recognise the sound of each type of instrument. Here's a few helpful sound clips of difficult ones . . .

Now have a look at the pictures below

One is a Double Bass, the other is an Electric Bass Guitar. If you answer a question with the word BASS, an examiner will mark it as WRONG. Be specific.

Here's another common mistake . .

They should be labelled Hand Drums and Drum Kit. DRUMS on its own is the wrong answer!
